tugged

took the bike out for a test ride, going through corhampton (used to be a 40) as i was coming round the bend i checked the speedo, looked up, plod jumped out from his car (which was conveniently parked in the bushes ) signaling me to pull over

f*** f*** f*** i was ranting, usual crap reading me my right asked me if i had been drinking, no, got breathalyzed anyway as i am a criminal after all

41 in a 30, 3 points :smt068

going to go back tomorrow armed with my camera see if i can blag anything

if i get 3 more points before may i can kiss goodbye to both my licenses

banged to rights

thing that did make me laugh is what he said "we're not out today to catch bikers just car drivers as they are the main cause of bike accidents here" then as i left he said "just be careful, there is 2 unmarked bikes and 3 cars on this road" not out to catch bikers indeed

simple answer to that, take more notice in residential areas! If in doubt go 30 or below anyway. There's a road near me back home which goes through a village called Laneshaw Bridge, notorious throughout Lancashire and Yorkieland for having coppers hidden about in hedges a videovans.

At the end of the day you were doing 41 in a 30 #shrug#

move across the water, where you can get away with 48 in a 30* whilst flipping the bird to one of those speed activated warning signs with nothing more than a quiet word and a request not to speed through the village, apparently...

that's 48 along the approach to an urban area that was recently widened, straightened and resurfaced by the council, with no side entrances whatsoever, slowing down from a NSL to be doing 30 by the time you hit the actual area with houses;)

signage doesn't matter, if the street lights were <200m apart it's a "restricted road" = 30 limit by default

Wideboy, im not one to flame people but i take it that you're less than 2 years into your licence hence another ticket and you're banned? 41 in a 30, although easy to do is basically asking for it. Im pretty against speed cameras and the like as they are the easy option for the police and the courts and decent people end up being banned etc, however anything 40 and above is fair game in a 30. Run an illegal plate/give false details and you're putting yourself in a much bigger world of pain where the courts will come down very heavily and you'll be locked up in the process.

Stick to the limits where its built up as you're risking having to take your test again and im not sure what the rules will be for someone having to take a retest once the new licence laws come into action in March.
