Pimp my garage - suggestions anyone

First & foremost before any of the pennine massive start on with the "man up!" or "shut up and get the video done" comments, I've been well busy the past few days BUT I've managed to get 3 mins of video captured and edited - so I'm approximately halfway there, and it should be up by tomorrow night :D...

On to the main post:

It looks as thought the purchase of our new house is almost complete (solicitors' were meant to exchange contracts on friday just gone but there was a delay for some reason, going down to whoop some ass first thing tomorra morning)... and I was day dreaming about actually having my very own garage for the first time. The garage in question has been built by the current seller and features - get this - an electric roller door and its own electric supply. It's probably just big enough to fit vicky's nissan micra in, but screw that, it's destined to be my very own den.

I've already got a glass door cube fridge going in, I'm gonna get some kind of basic stereo system to stick in, lots of strip lights and shelving, organised tools etc... Oh and I'm finally gettin a ground anchor - it really is a proper dream come true.

Anyone got any ideas to pimp the garage out? Laz-ee-boy loungers maybe? or italian marble floor? I'm more excited about the garage than all the house warming parties we're planning (5 so far with more dates expected)

Thinking of taking some inspiration from this (minus about 70% of the floorspace)

I have carpet, filing cabinet, tool chests, shelving and a workbench in mine. If it wasn't rented I'd have the floor tiled and paint the walls too, with about 20 power sockets and major lighting installed like my old double garage was.

Hi Paul first thing I'd do is get it alarmed!! If your new abode has a house alarm you may be able to add the garage as a"zone", This is what I did, I also have the alarm set to be passive on the garage when the alarm is deactivated. This means that should some toe rag try to get in and have it away with your pride and joy the alarm chimes!! You can then run out side and chase the naughty person away or something. :smt068
