who is up for as rivvy brew this afternoon

So how many are dodging work.

Assuming no rain. I might just pop up for a brew at the lower barn about 2ish.

Would love to Tim, but it's Meg's 9th birthday today and I'm getting the party ready! Mmmmmm, cake!

Carrot cake with inch-thick icing on top? If it's not Slaidburn's finest it's just not the same...

I looked at the carrot cake, but resisted. Had to sit inside whilst it rained. So as soon as the sun shone I rode home as gently as the slippy roads allowed.

Question

whose jurisdiction does rivvy fall under as there was a greater Manchester traffic car hanging about. I would have thought it was still lancs at that point.

I recently asked Greater Manchester Plod why they didn't do Bikesafe courses. The Chief C**tstubble's reply was that Greater Manchester's road network doesn't really attract bikers (that's an agument for another thread). I said "what about Rivington?" to which he said "That's Lancashire, nothing to do with us."

Despite us having some very nice roads in Lancashire, our plod too does not do bikesafe. they say they are not qualified to instruct joe public, insured etc. Instead they point you to a council run expensive unrecognised course.

I sometimes wonder if the plod/council are in league with each other on this money making scheme. Instead of working in the true interests of promoting road safety for Lancashire bikers. 4th highest rate of traffic camera in the country so we know where Lancs priority lies.

That's a new one. Seems Lancs are just as bad.

The GM prat actually told me that "It is not our responsibility to provide training. We are here to provide enforcement".

FFS, even Brunstroms mob does bikesafe courses.
