Ahhh, dropped my SV and now it wont start.
So I pulled up to a stop sign, but unfortunately that street was angled (higher on the right than on the left) and the bike went down to the left...
Someone helped me to raise it and I put it on the side stand. Then I got back on it and tried to start it but it wont start. The side stand was not down or any of those regular problems, The "chec" message wasnt showing so I started thinking its the battery. When i push the start button the engine turns but then starts clicking. So i pressed the horn button to check and there was a small and quick horn (only a beep instead of a beeeeeeeep) and that happens everytime i press it. The headlights look pretty dim. What might have happened? maybe the battery took a hit and stopped working? othing else broke except for the turn signal.... I'm really frustrated, thinking of just selling the bike and saving me some headaches. |

Does sound electrical related. Sounds like you have a bad earth connection somewhere. Double check all your wiring. See if any wires got a bit chopped when the bike went over.

check the tip over sensor give it a we nock/tap.its mounted on the battery box and will have a rubber round it whice then slides onto a lug on the battery box.

Did the clutch lever take a knock?
Check/short out the microswitch underneath it. |
Re: Ahhh, dropped my SV and now it wont start...
My vote would go to electrics too, especially if the engine will sometimes turn or the solenoid clicks. Could be an ar$e to track down though - I'd start by checking round the battery for damage/loose connections.

update:
Now the horn will blow and the headlights are going on as normally. However the engine will turn once or twice but wont start and then it starts clicking... I'm guessing the shock that the battery took might have weakened it? seems like everything is working in order until i try to start it. therefore i think all the connections/wiring should be fine. |

Starter solenoid?
Still sounds like a weak electrical connection to me. |
