frontend shaking

i had a nice ride to sittingborne yesterday and noticed when i was doing "motorway speeds" the front started to feel shaky and light.

ive been told to look at adjusting my rear shock or check my head races.

any suggestions on what to do or anywhere in london to go and get it done?

Re: frontend shaking

I had realy bad tank slapers on mine, usualy when hard on the gas. They got quite violent sometimes, to the point where the bars actually fought themselves out of my hands at one point.
I backed off all the preload on the front and increased the pre load on the rear shock. this effectively tilted the bike forward and added more weight to front end, and the difference it made was amazing.
The handling was transformed!

If it's appeared without any adjustment then I would say suspension adjustment won't cure it.

The SV isn't a slapper unless something is wrong. Check the rear linkage for siezing and the head bearings and wheel bearings.

Your front tyre could be out of balance?

A knackered back tyre can also cause a front end wobble - I don't know how but it has happened to me in the past and recently a mate had the same thing.
