Probably the millionth "Hello" thread you've ever seen

Hi there,

Just recently passed my bike test (33bhp Restricted) and have fallen in love with SVs. Currently bikeless but looking for the right one.

Have had a great experience with owners' forums (for my car) before so looking forward to chatting to everyone.

Probably going to be asking a lot of questions you've all heard before but hope I don't annoy you too much!

Harry

Hi Harry,

Welcome to the forum, you will like it here as we are a friendly bunch.

Don't worry too much about your questions, I have asked many before you and only half of them were sensible...

Have fun and try really hard to buy a nice SV, if in doubt, a pointy is the way to go. Curveys smell of imperial mints and cabbage, no idea why, they just do!

Hugs,

Jayne

Aye you'd better hope... if you do, then we'll send one of the forum deviants after you with a tub of KY ... or even without! :smt112

Welcome :-P

Ha ha! It's ok... I carry my own tube of KY with me at all times!

I'd love a pointy but i'm a student with a low budget. Luckily my Dad was a motorbike mechanic for about 20 years so he should be able to help me find a tidy one. I'm just playing the waiting game.

For some reason he won't let me slap a restrictor kit on his ZX-12R....

Congratulations on passing the test and welcome to the forum. A good honest bunch on here with plenty of good advice so ask away.

As for the bikes; the SV is a superb first as mines my first bike and i love it and dont think i will ever get an IL4 as i like the power delivery and sound of the V-twin. There are some cheap pointys about at the minute mate, just look on here and ebay. Its a good time to buy with the credit crunch and all that jazz. Whats your budget?

BTW Curvey Nakeds rule!

Hi Harry,

Don't listen to all these Johnny-come-lately pointy owners...........they know nothing! Curvy SV's are far superior, and faster too;)

Welcome, and have fun:D

Nice offer... Does the cow and sidecar some with it?

Seriously though, do you have an SV for sale?
