Sorry but Facebook is about Networking with your friends not your work colleagues. If you are at work you are already in contact with them. Why would you need to facebook them if they are in the same building?

If I was the boss i'd have these filters to stop people going on the sites, but I'm also a realist so know that no matter what your workers are guna skive every now and then so I would have a 5 min window every hour where the sites are allowed to be acessed.

Who wants to come work for me? :)

falcs place of work use MSN to cut down on unnecessary emails and phone calls especially as most of their time at work is spent on the phone helping people.

Same - we use Skype msging for communication with our suppliers on a daily basis. Great when you need an instant response on a yes no supply question.
