The Bacon Sandwich
 
Uncut white bread sliced to approx half inch thich

butter the bread

liberal quantity of tommy ketchup applied to each slice of bread

bacon has to be smoked back, cooked so rind is just starting to crisp

4 slices bacon per sarnie

eat. enjoy

there, i have just described the perfect bacon sandwich :smt038

oh maybe if feeling lavish maybe a fried egg slung on top....

the above but replace tomatoe sauce with brown sauce and a fried potatoe scone

And forget the smoked bacon, plain, dry cured back is best. Brown sauce, runny fried egg times two, perfecto!

Brown sauce. White bread, I don't care what bacon as long as its crispy and there's lots of it.

Suddenly my soup doesn't look so nice.

What you describe is a bacon and egg sandwich. :rolleyes:

Bacon should be smoked dry cured back bacon, hand sliced, cooked as Keith describes. White bread has to be buttered (not margarine / Flora / etc.) and maybe some brown sauce. Sauce depends on quality of bacon.

Tis easier for me, I eat like a horse so I may well have a bacon sarnie later :D

Jacket spuds are a whole other story. Bleh! :p

Smokey bacon, freshly baked bread, real butter, no ketchup, MARMITE instead.
