Whats in a rear hugger fitting kit?
Hi All
I have just found a rear hugger that would fit my bike for an absolute steal. Only thing is it doesn't have a fitting kit with it. What exactly is in the fitting kit? Is it essential or is just a selection of bolts that I could "borrow", from my work? If it is needed how much would one of these go for? Any advice greatly appreciated. |

What bike are we talking about and which Hugger?
Most Huggers, but not all, use the existing bolts I believe. |
Re: Whats in a rear hugger fitting kit?
For an SV three bolts (two chain guard and one rear brake hose clamp) and possibly some rubber grommets.
Which make is the hugger? |

For a 99 SV650S. The hugger is apparently Suzuki but it's on e-bay so not 100% about that.

Comes with three bolts, you should be able to reuse your chain guard bolts but you may need a slightly longer bolt for the rear hose clamp.

If you PM me the link I will confirm if it is OEM, don't worry i am not interested in buying a hugger.

Re: Whats in a rear hugger fitting kit?
Just fitted my hugger (although it's a Red Fox on an 08 Bike - but the fittings are likely to be very similar).
It came with two bolts which replaced the existing chain guard ones... but I see no reason why I couldn't have used the original ones. The brake line guide bold was re-used in holding the hugger on. |

Cheers for that DD but I just bought it anyway.
Keep fingers crossed it'll be ok. Thank's for the help guys. |
