Re: need a reliable tuner
im west of ireland i dont mind giving money to the right man that knows what he is at ,i was thinking maybe stage 3 profile for the cams wiseco high compression pistons and getting the heads gasflowed should give me 80bhp i can post parts have a bike shop that will do the striping and rebuilding as part of sponsership so if any of you know a real gudding i would love to have his name and number thanks alot

Re: need a reliable tuner
stage 3 profile cams (if you're on about jhs ones) will put you over 80bhp but JHS reckon they need stronger valve springs.
wiseco pistons weigh 3 million tonnes. better to get CP ones. save 11grams with those and just skim head or leave out gasket. much over 80bhp is getting toward limit of stock crank. Any engine tuning I'd be talking to twin works factory in US, I'd take zorans advice over JHS. |

Re: need a reliable tuner
I spoke to cylinderheadshop a long time ago about doing mine... They basically said "Not interested, we depend on word of mouth and the gains you get on an SV aren't worth the expense, and we don't need unhappy customers". He did say that it was worth cleaning up, and that there were gains to be had, just not very big ones... And sugested that it'd be worth doing some basic cleanup myself, which I'll do if I ever get round to it.
