OK its really opinions i'm after not onions...but hey whats a p between friends :D

Got an offer for my bike following my recent smash and just wanna know what everyone thinks please. I'm at a bit of a loss myself.

They offerd £1,500 payout but at mo i have no idea if they will let me buy it back or for how much.

So, whaddaya fink????

Have you looked on Autotrader and compared the amount with others from the same year and similar mileage... Its what I did and managed to bump the amount up another 300 quid.

Yeh i plan to do that over the weekend and also wanna argue that if it was not winter then the prices of bikes for sale would be higher. If it was my choice i would sell my bike in summer to get the best value so i shouldn't take a hit just cos of the time of year, right?

Have a look at the for sale section - someone trying to sell a 4K one & everyone's beating him down on price - sorry that doesn't help you.
Yes hold out for £1800 sounds like a plan, but scrap for £250 you've got to be kidding if you got it for £500 you would be doing well IMO

What Jester says but I reckon they'll offer to sell it back for £600-£800. I bought my K5 which was a Cat C for £1K

indeed i did :-) £300 notes was all they wanted me to pay up to get it back Zig - and they offered me £1700 for the value of mine which was a 60K+ miler - so if urs is less than that -hold out for more wonga .... IMHO - and i still owe you £15 - pm me ;-)
