Re: a quick update on the part 2 video
As not to derail Paul the 6th thread...
I have just got myself one of those camera, it's an Oregon ATC 3K, A quick question... Paul, where and how did you mount it to the bike ? As the kits it comes with is more like for pushbiking / canoeing than motorcycling... |
Re: a quick update on the part 2 video
I don't think paul uses ATC, IIRC he has a bullet cam setup and mini DV camcorder
|
Re: a quick update on the part 2 video
aye bullet cam made by "DogCamSport" linked into a MiniDV (miniDV tape) camera... bit ott but I already had the dv cam so only needed to buy the camera (and not spend a load more on fancy solid state recorders :))

Re: a quick update on the part 2 video
but where and how did you mont the bullet camera? please tell or show a photo.
Looks as I'm gonna have to make a special bracket. |
Re: a quick update on the part 2 video
Paul's a sucker, IIRC - and so is his mount. I've got the same one as him, but haven't used it in anger yet.
Think Seggons is your man for the bike-mounted camera, because he had it mounted on the offside radiator brackets somewhere (dunno if its still there after his recent off) |

Re: a quick update on the part 2 video
Thats a good place but i've got the lowers on...
was thinking about by the front calliper... but don't know if thats a good place. ie only suspension from the road is the tyre pressure.... |
Re: a quick update on the part 2 video
what about directly beneath the centre of the top fairing? Couldnt you bolt it onto the plastic shroud underneath? Fairly discreet holes if you needed to remove it.
|
Re: a quick update on the part 2 video
Nah it'll bounce about like buggery on the suspension. You can get little clips to put it on the bikes "chin" under the headlight.
|
Re: a quick update on the part 2 video
still open to options...
Robs sound feasible... Yorkie do you have photos or a link I can see them on please...? |
