opinions on racefit exhausts?

i know they LOOK the bollox....... but are they worth it in terms of guaranteed power like say yoshi or akra are? or do people buy them purely on looks??

The biggest improvement they offer is weight, the are a lot lighter.

Most fit just slip-on cans, this will not add any power and to do this you will need a decent full system.

Pretty much the same, the silencer on the GSXR600K7 is underneath and a slip-on connects behind this. To loose weight and add power you really need to dump that underslung silencer box.

yeah think the racefit does dump these on the gsxr, the akra certainly does but the yoshi slip-ons dont.

Yoshi should have a replacement piece underneath I think, on the K7 NOTHING keeps the cat cos it's attached to the pipe! I don't think the Yoshi bit is a sports cat or anything, I think it's just an extra silencer.

P.s. Racefit - look good, but it looks to me like they don't give 2 hoots about performance. That's why I chose a Yoshi over a Racefit on my 750K8.

lets be honest though who actually fits exhausts for bhp benefit most are for sound looks and weight saving all nice benefits doubtfull the average rider would notice anyway if it was boosted 3bhp or so.

My worry with Racefit, though, was that I was actually going to be losing power because they don't even seem to check them on a dyno...Yoshi do actually provide figures, etc so obviously have an interest :)
