Duck Duckety Duck Ducking Ice!!!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........

It seems that the nice men at the council :smt072 have thought it would be a great idea to grit the main roads but the entire estate is like an ice skating rink!!!!!

First corner out.......Oooooooppppppsie.......

Everything is fine other than a few light scratches on fairing, R&G's worked (Again) and brake lever bent. Going to unbend the brake lever later, the other two bits are pointless at the mo.

Anyway.....Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr once again. Chuffing Ice.

OOoopsie, bad luck matey. The ice is bad at the moment, we had freezing rain last night, so all the roads here are slick with black ice. Looked out this morning to see a tractor pulling someone out the hedge....

Take care all

Bad luck mate, my mate said his estate was like a rink too. least the R&G's minimised the damage, need to get me some of them!

it looked fine when I set out this morning (apart from nearly falling on my **** twice on the yard!) but thought the roads will be gritted and OK.

Took it steady and got onto the main roads, was fine, thought it will be ok, but half way it started hailing! (ouchie! them things frickin hurt at 30-40!) as I carried on the hail had filled any gaps between the stones and then frozen over, came to slow down to bear left and kept on heading towards the car waiting to pull out

managed to make the corner and pulled over, decided I was closer to work though so finished my journey, but half mile further on I made it out the other side of the clouds and the roads were fine again! what a weird day! hope my trip home is less eventful, although in the dark....

Yeah, you need to be very careful- councils obviously have to concentrate on main roads so when it's a real hard snap like this back streets can suffer. Mine's a bit dodgy just now- we got snowed on last night so with the frozen ground it's evil- so I'm cycling to work instead for a few days... Bikes and ice just basically don't mix :D

Glad there was no big damage though!
