Re: gear change lever?

You can get them from a local dealer or from ebay (same as a gsxr srad) or you could get a MFW one from M&P for about £35

Weemoto is one of the places, or sparesdirect.co.uk or com, cant remember.

Depends on what model of SV you have as how to replace them If its attached to the foot peg, then you will need to remove the whold assebly from the bike (6mm allen bolts i believe), unscrew the change rod from the lever end (Its LH thread iirc) then remove the 6mm allen bolt from the foot peg, then you can pull the old broken leve from the peg. A little wd40 will help the new lever slide on. Reassemble the unit as you took it apart, and adjust the lever to prefered height. Job done.

Re: gear change lever?

Is it broken or just the toe peg that's snapped off?

Re: gear change lever?

You beat me to it YC was just going to say if it's just the toe peg that's broken off to drill it and stick a bolt through

Re: gear change lever?

yeah its just the toe peg, the bike slipped from under me going round a bend at like 10mph due to wet leave and a drain, the R+G bungs done the job though but destroyed itself in the process, i just found the guide on how to drill it through, is that a good enough fix for now?? and is the disassembly still the same?

cheers

Re: gear change lever?

Yeah the bolt through the lever will last a fair while and dissasembly is the same although the last one i drilled it on the bike and bolted it that way
