My nephew is now a proper biker
Brother has just phoned me. His lad has just had his first off yesterday.
not hurt but a big hole in his trackies a small hole in his knee and in need of brake lever and paint repair to panels. Fortunately he seems to have learned a few lessons. 1) Dad & Uncle Tim were right when they said you will have no protection in trackies. 2) When the weather is bad stick to the main roads that get gritted. 3) When you are wearing a £250 helmet, slid down the road on your **** and not your head. apparently he was the 3rd off of the day on that stretch of road. Locals were good, picked his ped up and put it in their garage, gave him a warm seat, use of telephone and brew whilst waiting for his dad to collect him. |

Least he walked away , he`s gonna be crispy tomorrow after hitting the road in trackies .

He won't learn, they never do.
I'll bet a fiver he's out as soon as the bike is back on the road wearing the same type of gear. |

Re: My nephew is now a proper biker
congratulate him on his off... I remember when I had my first off on my ped....
dark night in the cold icey country lanes nr King's Lynn, Norfolk... went into the corner too quick for the conditions and slid across the road infront of a car coming the opposit way... missed him and so did the bike. He stopped & helped me up. We left Ped in the ditch where it stopped slidding, and then took me to his Pub (As it was Bob the old Landlord from "The Gate Inn" in middleton) for a Large Whiskey warmer and use of the phone to ring Dad to come and get me & the bike in his van. |
Re: My nephew is now a proper biker
My bike is now a hundred miles away in my girlfriend's garage- I walked outside this morning and there was ice everywhere, crossed the road and it was slippy, called dad and he said it was the same here, so I left it there..
