Scorpion Can?

Re: Scorpion Can?
Yes, should tell them of every modification as you never know when you will need it. A slip-on isn't a performance enhancing product, so it will do nothing to effect your policy unless you have a crap insurer.

Re: Scorpion Can?
Agreed tell them about it, hopefully you'll never have an accident but if you do and make a claim and havent told them about any modifications to the bike they may not pay out.

Re: Scorpion Can?
I told Carole Nash about all my mods, the guy basically said just make sure you keep receipts in the event of a claim and they wouldn't affect the policy.

Re: Scorpion Can?
I told them about mine, and they were fine, even when I made a claim & they mentioned the exhaust said "For Race Use Only" they paid up as I had told them.
Strange though, its been polished so much since, you cant see it! Steve |
Re: Scorpion Can?
As everyone has said, tell them - but don't do it over the phone, do it in writing or if you have to use the phone, have them confirm the phone conversation in writing. Call recordings can be 'lost'

Re: Scorpion Can?
I told them i had a fender extender, all they said was that it would be replaced with OEM if it was in an insurance claim.
As OEM is usually dearer i thought that was quite funny. :p |

Re: Scorpion Can?
Best get an email off to them. If you can keep a record that they have been informed then you will have come back in the future if need be.
