Charging the battery

Hi, at the moment i am not using my bike as much as usual, though i rid every day for 5years with all the ice around im a bit weary of binning my k8 sv. And as the missus has to drive past my work on the way to hers it would be silly not to hop in the car.
Question is how long does it take to charge the battery whilst using the bike?
At the min i use it once or twice a week for work, but its only 10mins each way, it also has an alarm fitted
Would 1 half hour ride a week be enough to charge it?

Probably.

Get yourself a trickle charger. They are about 30 - 40 quid and it will keep the battery in prime condition.

I ride my GS probably max 3 miles each way and it copes even with light on.

Not sure on SV as it in the garage for the winter, but it will be used as above come the spring.

Got alarm on SV but have bought a charger that plugs in for long term.
Do you have the Suzuki Meta alarm fitted as after 10 days of non use it will sleep and just immobilse to reduce battery consumption.
I found out you need to switch bike on to then deactivate in this period.
Thought mine had flattened till i realise you need to awaken the alarm.
