They look pretty good too. |
Re: Wavey Disks
Mate of mine has braking wave discs all round on his SV, made no difference over stock. Before he got them I canvassed some opinions and other people said the same.

Re: Wavey Disks
I think wavy discs are better on the track as they dissipate heat a bit more, so theres less brake fade?
thats the theory i;ve heard anyway |
Re: Wavey Disks
well they'll be better than the discs you take off obviously because they'll be fresh discs.

Ran them on My 06 Thunderbike (Braking) from the start of the season and the brakes were never exceptional (Brembo 19x18, Gsxr Radial, MCR pads) then had probs at snett keeping the lever, put allsorts of fluid through it and still the same, put my wet wheel in with oe discs and suddenly the brakes were fantastic. Ive helped a few people since who've had similar problems (Radial GSXR's)and I think its a disc caliper combination, Radial calipers dont breath as well as others and the extra heat generated from the wavy's with ceramic pads is too much in race conditions and becomes a problem on hot days. IMHO id only use Braking or Galfer, never had problems with either (manufacture/quality side), but have had issues with, ABE, Stealth, etc etc But have a look at OE prices before going for others as they are cheaper than alot of them |
