Don't want the jersey but I came off!
 

So last Friday 19th I was in Harefield hospital being wired to a 48 Hour "Holter Monitor" ( Measures Heart beat and rhtymn) just to check everything is working okay and I said to the nurse I was planning on going out on my bike later in the evening but I reckon the monitor will get in the way!

She assured me that everything would be fine and that I should have a normal Friday/Saturday and ignore the monitor. Got home got the bike out ( Thou) and it started so got kitted up and decided to head out to SoHo only to travel a mile into the high street in Tring , went round the roundabout and the bike started sliding away from me, could'nt do anything but prepare to hit the ground which I did but must have put my left thumb out: ouch!!!!!

Bashed right hand as well but came away with only a brocken left thumb( What Pi**ed me off was the 10 car drivers that just drove past and not stopped at all to help or see I was alright). Got up picked bike up and rode home thenm got into car and drove to A & E at Stoke Mandeville came home with a pot on and then went back to finaly get operated on Chrstmas eve after several visits to Stoke Mandeville.

Damage to bike : Bashed RHS Exhaust, Bent Rear brake lever, Bent/Tiwsted RHS foot peg, Brocken Front brake lever, possibly twisted RHS Footpeg/gear lever Hanger. Brocken RHS Mirror.

Will get round to collecting bits from e-bay/forum when I can.

Oh dude, sorry to hear that, not good.

Will the thumb be okay? That not any fun espically over xmas.

I am sorry to hear that. I cannot believe no-one stopped to help you :shock:. You were lucky to be able to manage to pick the bike up yourself and ride home with your injuries. I hope they heal soon. GWS, Foxy

Thanks its slowly getting better

Shear luck that I was able to get the bike up on my own.

Sure did and I did'nt tell the consultant what time either but he worked it out from the trace
