Best place (cheapest) to get BMW helmets?
Hi, I'll hopoefully getting back on the bike soon after a reasonably heavy crash. I was really impressed with my BMW 2007(2008?) pro race sport integral helmet. Withstood the crash 100%. Now I understand each manufacturers helmets are better for different crash situations but there's no point trying to play probability as it'll eat away at me whatever happens happens. I'll stick with what I know and that's that the bmw one was a quality helmet, excellent fit and withstood 40mph to a car. I got it for about £150 in october (three days before I crashed!). So does anyone know where I can pick one upas cheap as?
If not I'll be in my £20 v-can 1000 #-o. |

Indeed but schuberth outlets don't do them they seem to be reserved to bmw. Nearest thing to the one I had is the S1.... at £300?!

I have a Schuberth S1. Just wanted to bring the recent SHARP results for the S1 Pro to your attention, all of 2 stars though it is very contentious by all accounts, the UK importer says the test was not done to spec using a smaller head form and higher impact speed than specified. Who knows what the truth is, but I can't say I'm over-confident in the SHARP results to date. I still like the S1 and find it hard to believe the test result, just doesn't seem right somehow, I can't see what's so dramatically different between the S1 and the C3 construction, for example (other than the obvious flip front), that would explain the dramatically different results.
I thought the BMW helmets were Schuberth manufacture too, and the BMW System5 gets 5 stars. I've only ever seen BMW helmets advertised by BMW dealers, not surprisingly, so I guess it's down to trawling the on-line dealer sites for offers. |

Pidcocks BMW sell a good range of them.
They are based just off junction 26 of the M1.......so depending on what side of sheffield you are on its not to far away. Would make a nice day out either way, as all the pidcock dealers are within half a mile of each other, so you have Honda, Triumph and BMW to look around. |
