Company Car / Commercial Vehicle Tax...
 
Can anyone tell me how much tax I would pay on a Nissan Navara with a P11D Value of circa 26k with a co2 of 276 g/km

I cannot work out how commercial vehicles are taxed when used for private use... the HMRC doesnt seem to say in plai english either?

Are you using the car for work or is it purely a private car?

company issued car for business and private use with over 6500 bussiness miles P/A..

Some pickups are taxed as cars rather than commercials IIRC, might be worth checking this out.

I understand that if the weight carrying capacity of a commercial vehicel with private use is 1 tonne or over, benefit in kind is £3000 for the vehicle and £500 (from memory) for fuel benefit, irrespective of value or CO2. Bloody good, if you want to drive that sort of thing (I don't). If you're a 40% taxpayer, that's £1400 pa tax, £700 pa for a basic rate tax payer.

Google for 'company van BIK'

If a hard top is put on over the load space and reduces the permissable load carrying capacity below 1 tonne, your're fooked tax-wise.

Oh, it looks as though the vehicle must have designed to carry goods, primarily. Seems HMRC look closely at double-cab pickups...

Remember if you go over any toll roads, you'll have to pay the premium. Severn bridge would be £10.60!

Thats Great,

I dont really Want one as much as I need to replace my car and now living in suffolk I do actually need a 4x4 and the payload ability will be usefull given I will be doing up / Landscaping again...plus that is substantially cheap tax for a £26k car / pickup thing..

Its either that of another focus....?
