Price to unlock an iPhone 3G (8Gb) ??
 

Thats all really - whats reasonable, and can anyone recommend anywhere (or a specific technique) to get this done, apart from "going to the Sunday market"

I'm in/around the Guildford/Fleet area, Surrey (GU postcode)

You can do it with software, however it's still beta and might brake the thing.

However, no where will unlock them in the same way you can unlock Nokia phones, as the Nokia ones are sold in some locations without simlocks so with the Nokia you can just put that software on it.

You can also use a sim adaptor which will fool the phone into thinking its using the correct network. An example is here but i've never used them so I dont know how reliable they are.

Stick it on ebay, let some mug buy it then get something that actually does what you want to do instead of just being shiny

no need for rebel sim TSM :) it can be properly unlocked within mins

follow these 2 links and get it unlocked yourself!

your iphone needs to be on the latest 2.2 firmware before you do anything. First jailbreak it and then unlock it.
