road safety clip

Pretty effective

Edit: Too effective and not U-rated. Please PM for link.

Apparently the song was by Evanescence - All of Me

Erm if you mean putting people off driving then yeah effective, I'd call it going overboard personally. Very graphic.

I think it's My immortal by Evanescence, not All of Me.

Thanks Baph, I couldn't think of the phrase  Was going to say squeamish but not quite right.

Don't see what that video would achieve. If anything it will make drivers so scared they will actually end up having an accident through indecisiveness etc etc!

Hmm, interesting how people see it.

I just interpreted it as a pretty realistic attempt at demonstrating what road accidents are like, and not a sanitised euphemistic view of things as we usually get fed. Everything we get shown is sanitised, compare what we get to what is shown by some foreign TV regarding wars for example.

I think it gets across one aspect often not appreciated, just a split second can totally change people's lives for ever.

It makes that point very well. That bit with the couple on the wall, that got me. Its just upsetting more than anything. I can see the point of it, tis a similar thing with pictures of tar choked lungs on cigarette packets, graphically these pics/scenarios stick in people's minds but I don't think it has any effect, people forget all too quickly.

At least there aren't any bikes in it, that would have brought tears up.

That was quite a bad one, but the child standing over their pretty obviously dead parent got me more. Could be something to do with being a parent though.

I should imagine so. Golly this has great signs of being the most depressing thread for a while
