Out on my ride today I had three cars pull out on me at junctions! Luckily I was ready for them as I always cover my brakes and horn.

Thinking that this was very odd as I ride with my headlight on all the time I stopped and checked the light. I had a bad connection and it was off.

A quick fiddle and it was back on but it was more than enough proof for me that riding with your headlight on is the ONLY way to go.

This wasn't in murky conditions. It was blue sky and sunshine on straight, clear roads.

Funnily enough, the only time I've used my hazard lights, was to warn other road users of, erm, hazards. :D

When I was learning my instructor used to shout and swear when bikes came the other way without their light on, scared the hell out of me the first time I heard an angry scotsman bawling in my ear for no reason I could see.
