You'll need to open up the switches etc on the bar (by removing the 2 screws), then you'll need to get enough slack on the throttle cabes to take them out of the throttle tube. Best thing to do is to raise the tank, whack off the air box and slacken of the cable adjustment bolts at the carb end till you get enough play to take then out of the tube. Obviously remove the bar end and the tube should just slide off.

The short answer: Undo the 2 screws holding the right hand switchgear together, and remove the right hand bar end weight. The throttle tube slides back and forth now, and may let you do what you need to.

However, if you want to remove it you almost certainly won't have enough slack in the throttle cables so will need to raise the tank, pop the air box off, and loosen the throttle cables where they attach to the carbs.

Stick a R6 throttle tube on it while your at it, best £8 you will spend and it will allow you to get the power on quicker without having double jointed wrists! You get a grip with the tube so you might want the opposite grip to match total cost £11.80.

I did mine today and took me 1/2 hour to fit it start to finish :D

I agree the difference isnt massive But it makes a difference. Considering he's taking it apart anyway and it costs so little to do; two birds one stone and all that!
