Removing Front Indicators From a Pointy

I want to machine polish the bike and need to remove the front indicators to gain better access to the upper fairing. Is there an easy way to do this?

Yup, there's a small nut on the inside of the fairing, a bolt coming from the indicator. I think it's either an 8mm or a 10mm, but that's purely guesswork.

Undo that nut, pull the indicator out a little, and then unclip the wiring.

I've heard its pretty soft! Will be using a finishing pad and polish so not too abrasive.
