Servicing question

I've been trying to find out some info on servicing. I've had a look on here and in the manual but I'm still confused.

I've got a '99 X now up to about 22,000 miles and was wondering when it needs servicing. The manual only details up to 15,000 miles so what servicing, and at what intervals, needs doing after that?

Re: Servicing question

The original intervals repeat themselves(apart from the one off 600 mile one)So it needs a small service every 4000,a slightly bigger one every 8000,and a valve clearance service at about 15000.Apart from regular oil changes none of it is crucially mileage sensitive,as long as it all gets looked at in reasonable order.

Re: Servicing question

Repeat at the same intervals, ignoring the 500 mile service of course :).

Alright Baz,

Your welcome to borrow my haynes manual for a few days, if you want to pop round and collect it? Are you in wilmslow now? or are you still at uni?

Andy

Cheers, I'm at uni atm, but spend lot's of weekend in the 'slow for various things. I'll give you a shout when I'm back next. Does the manual cover curveys too?

How are you finding the bike, do you get out on it much?
