Hi Daz. i changed to e-home this year. Was with Barclays before, but e-home was about a third of the price.

interesting stuff - i just auto-renew mine with NU / Aviva each year, gonna look round this time though, i reckon i'm being ripped off.

I assume confused.com will help me on my merry way.
"and the rebuilding cost is £3.50 and a bag of chips !!"

Both my son and I use e-home. good policy price, but as I have never had a home insurance claim in 25 years of house ownership I cannot say if the proof of the pudding is there for any company

Probably wise to shop around each year. It appears to be standard practice to offer 'introductory' rates, which are then hiked at renewal time :(

Daz

I am with Churchill and they are great, only thing you have to do is do a quote online with them every year to get it down, their renewals are stupid money but they match ya online quote no worries.

I just looked for house insurance for my Mum and couldnt beat Churchill, their basic cover has just gone up too.

Direct line just offered me buildings and contents for £200 - over £100 cheaper than my renewal. However, I shall use that quote for leverage, no way would I use direct line - they insist on using their own cowboys for any repairs.

Direct Line ripped an ex off on a car claim once, gave him half what it was worth and were generally horrid ! Stay clear of them rob dogs !!
