paddock stand and bobbins
 

Just wondering if anyone could suggest a good rear paddock setup and bobbins? as I've just come from a suzuki bandit, and it was never needed

Paddock stands are cheaper, but less safe method of propping up your rear end.

If you can afford one get either an ABBA superbike stand or if you can find one an NWS stand.

The NWS stand doesn't need an adaptors, which the ABBA stand does and make specific adaptors for your make & model

Aparently NWS went bust from the chat on the Org, but they still have a website and phone number, so you can check this out.

If you buy a paddock stand, just buy one with hooks, not the rubber pads, as you will find you bike on it's side! Even with hooks, this can still happen, if you're not careful, like I was.

Bobbins? Pretty much the same I would think

Any of the paddock stands are good, even the budget ones if you are not going to be using them constantly.

As for the bobbins I would recommend either the Motoslider or R&G ones, not only are they bobbins but they also act as crash bungs....

ive got a cup type rear stand. to be fair it was a relelation using one and isnt as hard as pushing the feking bike around everywhere. That said getting those cups under is a pain so yea go for the bobbins. Appart from that my 17 quid one seems cracking value for money. think busters etal have deals on them.

How do the motosliders work with rear paddock stands?

I've got bobbins just now and paddock stand with hooks.. but looking at the motosliders they will 'clash' with the paddock stand and not bring the hooks as far back when the bike is lifted.. didnt have time to fit them the other night and try.

The ABBA stand is money well spent, I got one last weekend and it is so easy to set up by yourself and very sturdy.

The problem you have there is you are using the Micron stand which was designed to have cups and not forks. Micron then made the adaptors, pictured above, so you could use the bobbins.

You would need a proper fork rear paddock stand, not the usual Micron bodge job....
