Hugger and extender which are the best

Yay it's the first pay day since I bought my bike back in mid December and I thought I'd celebrate by treating it to a hugger and fender extender. :D

I was thinking about getting a Red Fox carbon hugger from Ebay

Are these any ones any good? Are they real carbon or plastic with a carbon veneer?

How easy are they to fit?

All extenders seem to look the same but any reccomendations will be appriciated.

Cheers

The Ebay ad says it's 'carbon look' so just plastic made to look like carbon. Redfox make pretty good huggers for the SV, IMO the only better one is the genuine Suzuki hugger which is expensive. Never fitted one so cannot comment on how easy that is.

Fender Extenders are made by Pyramid Plastics and are the only ones as far as I'm aware. They cost about £18 and are well worth it.

I had a Pyramid carbon hugger on my K5, it looked and fitted just fine.

+ 1, any other manufacturer that claims to make them is actually supplying you with a Pyramid Plastics extender.

I had pyramid both on my SV..

deffo get the fender extender wel worth it stoppin wet in that spark and a horrid riding experience..

if u unsure re the hugger then get the fender ext first- then search on here for how best to fit it- glue/screw... there will be lots of threads.

The OEM crap flap on the SV swingarm does a good job already, the best type of hugger to get is one which extends below the swingarm and protects the shock linkages.
