Some questions, with pictures :)
Had a look to see how clean my air filter was today and this is what i found:
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...2022009341.jpg Well i thought it was meant to look like this: http://www.gear4bikes.com/images/air...rs/H417840.jpg So is mine not a standard part? In which case who is it made by? Secondly, could this be why my bike isn't starting? http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...2022009337.jpg And im guessing it means my carbs need an overhaul? Cheers. Re: Some questions, with pictures :)
Your plugs look a bit sooty, mixture could be rich and if you try starting with the choke you're likely to be flooding it.

Re: Some questions, with pictures :)
airfilter looks perfectly acceptable, different mesh granted, but it the same shape?? (shold be fine, looks new even!)
can we have a close up on the plugs... looks like oil from here... |
Re: Some questions, with pictures :)
does it not say the make of the filter on it?
and have you got a close up pic of the plugs |
Re: Some questions, with pictures :)
Oh yeah i know its fine was just being curious as to the point of the metal mesh.
With regards to the plugs the threads look oily but the end itself is very sooty here is the best picture i could get although my phone didn't want to focus close up. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...2022009340.jpg |
Re: Some questions, with pictures :)

Re: Some questions, with pictures :)
yeah it now has new plugs in but because i split the radiator hose i cant try to start it yet as the radiator is empty! however after changing the rear and trying to start it it almost fired up but died. im hoping these will be the problem, we will see.
