Can't imagine longevity is top of Ed's priorities.
I do know everyone is saying tyres are going up due to the weak pound. What about Pilot Power 2ct's? |
Re: Am I stupid and am I being robbed - tyres again
Holy feck Ed!!
I pay £206 for ride-in ride-out service for Pilot Road 2's on the SV. For that money, a front lasts around 12k. What size are the tyres on the 675? |
Re: Am I stupid and am I being robbed - tyres again
lol, BT0-16's!!!! buy them lol.. only ones for the 675!

Re: Am I stupid and am I being robbed - tyres again
Ed, put some sport touring tyres on the darn thing, it'll feel just the same on something like Metzler Z6 as it will on those you have listed. But if you're out in the rain or cold the Sport Touring tyres will work hell of a lot better.
I've put Z6' on my GSXR, in the dry it feels just as good as it did on the Pilot Power 2CT's and the Pirelli Diablo Corsa III's I had on it before, but in the wet it feels 10 times better and they were cheaper... and they'll last longer... I'm not going back down the route of sporty sticky tyres again. There was an article in ride magazine where they tested Sport against Sport Touring, each time the testers found the sport touring tyres were hotter after a lap of the test track and IIRC there wasnt much in it lap time wise either. Unless you ride on the track alot you dont need track based sticky rubber IMHO. |
