Re: stutter on steady throttle FI
I would check the throttle position sensor is set correctly as 3500rpm was the engine speed that my bike ecu changed its fuel map, i believe it is meant to change at approx 1500ish rpm. Use the search facility to find the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR set up thread. I carried out the mod and made a massive difference. The TPS may not be what is causing your problem but the general consensus of all who have done it is that it makes a big difference.

Re: stutter on steady throttle FI
I'll second that Gazza. MIne stuttered around 3.5k, but the TPS mod sorted it right out. Makes town riding sooooo much easier!

Re: stutter on steady throttle FI
mine's done that for the 3months ive owned it, thought it was normal, definatly going to get it sorted this morning.
i'll let you knw mike if it sorts it out |
Re: stutter on steady throttle FI
thanks for yr help guys may have a go later on k8 there is 2 take it i need too adjust rear one:)

Re: stutter on steady throttle FI
Adjusting the TPS alone is pointless, check the throttle balance first.
On all FI bikes there are two TPS, the primary is the lower one. |
Re: stutter on steady throttle FI
hey mike, ive just done mine, made loads of difference,
also i had my throttles balanced at 11k service only 2weeks ago. |
Re: stutter on steady throttle FI
Glad you sorted yrs DP did mine didn,t make any difference. its ok when cold prob starts when hot:confused:

Re: stutter on steady throttle FI
try getting your throttle bodies balanced and also if there are any mods to the fuel or ignitoin system (like a TRE) try running them without it as i took my TRE orr mainly cuz it doesnt make much difference and because even the 'smart' TRE's make them run like a bag of poop at times
