Gear shift rod

I put on some footrest jack up plates today, but put them on upside down for comfort. I need a longer gear shift rod and don't know where to get one from, can anybody suggest anything?

You could try making one yourself or going to a local fabricators to get one done. It is simply a piece of bar threaded at each end, M6 thread i think (dont hold me to that).

Don't forget one end has a reverse thread.
