Re: Flat radiator hoses when running?
You checked the water level? Might be air in the system try running it with the radiator lid of and giving all the pipes a good old squeeze

Re: Flat radiator hoses when running?
If you put the filler cap on when its hot, the system cools down & 'sucks' the hoses in? Try easing the cap off when cold & listen for the system sucking air in.

Added some and opened the air release bolt and went on my way.. hoses still inflated when i got back..begs the question where the heck did the coolant go? and how come a) engine does over heat b) what can I do to fix it? |
Re: Flat radiator hoses when running?
I had the flat hose problem. It turned out to be a blocked overflow pipe. The thin one just under the rad cap. Disconnect it from both ends and blow the crud out.
