Why Do Dogs Chase Bikes?
Every time I pass people walking their dogs I notice the dogs go nuts at the bike and try to chase you. Whats that all about? They never chase cars!

Re: Why Do Dogs Chase Bikes?
One once ran into the road out of nowhere going for the bike, a few seconds later and we would have all been hurt :-(
Loose dogs are a liability on public roads, which is why they should always be on a lead (whilst being walked on a road) in my opinion. |

Re: Why Do Dogs Chase Bikes?
lol Dave the bike is Bambikiller, but Suzy has run into a loose terrier when Im Indoors had her, he won't say if she killed it or not! :-(
I once nearly got taken out one night by a black dog that ran across the road, it was that quick I almost didn't swerve in time to miss it. Theres a really old dog that lives on the far corner of our road, and in summer it sits outside asleep, but it loves chasing our bikes! It comes alive all of a sudden and runs up the road barking, it doesn't come off the pavement, its just funny cause it must be ancient, I just shout ''arrrrrr shuttttttt upp'' and that usually stops it running out :-) |
Re: Why Do Dogs Chase Bikes?
Ive never had the problem but do hate watching others and other things at the side of the road

Re: Why Do Dogs Chase Bikes?
I have 2 bikes.
The black one is called Dave, which I killed a deer(read sawn in half) on a couple of years back The yellow one is called Suzy, which used to belong to my other half. He killed a terrier(read sawn in half) on her, when she used to belong to him. Don't sound confusing to me ;-) |
