Why did you choose a naked? or Why did you choose a faired?
 

This isn't about which is better, it's about why you personally chose one over the other and what the advantages and disadvantages are of each one in your opinion.
I always had my mind set on a faired, but now i am considering a naked since i may look into getting a street triple after the sv, and i seem to like an upright position.

I have faired bikes for some wind / weather protection when touring.

naked only coz i like the look more then the s plus i like the sitting up position

I really like the look of naked bikes but I spend 90% of my time on motorways, so it had to be faired for me. And I really want a Speed Triple too :mad:

It was the wind protection for me too. If I didn't use the bike for commuting or long distances though I'd probably go for a naked cos I like the look of naked bikes.

Get it and buy the fly screen :) that's what ill be doing in a year anyway :mrgreen:.

I like the way the faired version looks over the naked version, plus I wanted more wind protection when doing a bit of speed

Saying that, most of my ride is slow speed town stuff so a naked would be better - turning circle and seating position. Was surprised how different it was when I sat on one.

Still prefer the faired though...

The little thing that sits over the headlights? I think you'll be disappointed with that.
If its a bigger clear plastic affair, then it ruins the looks of the bike which is the reason i liked it in the first place.
