Erm... When did they stop painting them yellow?! All over Manchester they're turning a very subtle browny-red colour :(

Nope. They're doing all of the road 'furniture' and lamposts in it too. Just to make sure it all blends in together ;)

they paint them the same colour as the biulding they're standing in front near me.

Erm, I seem to remember reading something a while ago about not having to paint them bright yellow any more. Sneaky but possibly perfectly legal. Gits.

Afaik they only have to paint them High-vis when they were pocketing the profits, since they banned the local money collection (as people were profiting from them) they no longer have to paint them day-glow.

They paint them battleship Grey etc as it is the least attractive colour to the eye (detection), hence battleships are painted that colour so that visual detection is harder (in theory).

I always look for road lines instead of cameras, easier to spot.
