Walking through the shopping centre, pretty close to the doors to a shop, and I bumped into someone. It was with enough force to spin me round a little, and knock said person over. So I offered her a hand up, and apologised. Then realised I'd knocked Melinda Messenger a**e over t*t. Couldn't perv much though, as I was with the then girlfriend. :( She (Melinda) was pretty decent about being knocked over. The girlfriend wasn't impressed when I passed comment on the size of norks afterwards. |

I had the door held open for me in John Lewis, OXford Street by Chris Moyles! I also met and chatted with the Late Princess diana.
I also met Melinda once, at Waterloo train station. I was walking past (i worked there for a while) whne she was stuglling to get a pram out of the boot of a car, so i gave her a hand! As for Lenny Henry, nope, youre right never bumped into him |
Re: Its not every day you see Lenny Henry!!
I've met one or two famous people. When I was younger me and some mates used to play football in our local park. One Sunday afternoon two guys watched us for a while then asked if they could join in with our kickabout. As we were a few players short we agreed they could play and asked their names. One of them said "he's Jim, and I'm Bob." They were none other than Jimmy Page and Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin. We saw them a few times after that and got to know them quite well - well enough that we all got invites to the Rockfield Recording Studios Christmas party that year. There were loads of celebs there, from George Michael to Elton John and The Charlatans and Echo and the Bunnymen. Most of us were too starstruck to talk to any of them but it was a fantastic night.
Also played pool with David Jason. And got steaming drunk with Carlos Sainz and Juha Kankkunen while they were in the 1992 Safari Rally in Kenya. Now, that was a wild night!!!!! |

Baph, I wouldn't have cared a t0ss that my Mrs was there if Ms Messenger was present. I would be drooling like an alcholic in a brewery!
I was chatting with Roy Keane on Thursday night. I cover the Bowdon area where loads of footballers live and happened across him and his Mrs outside his house on the way out to Las Vegas. Stopped Micah Richards last week. (M'cr city apparently!) Pete |
