Tank bag recommendation?

I recently bought a used Bagster tank cover off ebay with the idea of using it with a tank bag. Ive decided I prefer to see the tank so Im looking for a tankbag to go on my curvy that doesnt need a Bagster tank cover.

Any recommedations?

i use a TECH7 tankbag everyday as a work bag, holds everything i need and in a 30min down pour without its raincover it dident let water in, came free with a RIDE subcription but think you can pick them up for about 30 quid,

I used a small Oxford first time one with the SV, great for what I needed, not too big and did loads of miles. However it wasn't totally waterproof, thing would get a little damp even when I put the rain cover on.

Getting one with a map pocket/window in the top is inavluable for touring/longer trips away from home.

i got mine from lidl or aldi. was about £25 and the bit with the magnets and straps in stays on the tank(with a map pocket) and the bag unzippes as a rucksack. it has a rain cover n all that cr*p and another map pocket on that aswell. they have them in normaly begginin of summer and in the middle of summer with all the bike gear.

its really good except all my mates take the pi*s out of my "bum bag".

I use one of these (as previously posted in another thread)

It sticks REALLY well to the tank but does come with some straps too.
Its big enough for a big disc lock, wallet, phone, keys and I can get my old tomtom in there too (the house brick sized ones).
Its expandable but I have never needed it this big.
It all depends on what you want to carry with you I guess.
If I could find one this size with a clear pocket to fit the tomtom in, I would change it but as it stands, this one is perfect for my days out.

I second that. Got mine from Aldi. It's good kit. They usually have a spring biking special

I had a magnetic Oxford 1st time expander bag I used last year. £20 brand new. Waterproof cover, expandable to 38 litres, ruck sack straps, removeable front pocket which converted to bum bag and removeable map pocket which could be used on it's own. Excellent piece of kit for the money. Used for AR08 and Glencoe Massacre and no probs.

Lidl are doing their bike gear sale again soon, so you could pop in and get one. They are very good for the money. See here http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=127244
