Re: CRB Checks
Erm yes, I thought that was the idea...

Re: CRB Checks
Not sure. I go through an enhanced CRB check every couple of years but I don't know how different that is from a 'standard' one.

Re: CRB Checks
plowsie / TLW- I wasnt sure, i thought the purpose of the crb checks were to determine if people were suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults...but as woz says there are 2 types....standard and enhanced....so the question isnt that daft!...but seems i was wrong from reading various things on google

Re: CRB Checks
So if a company wanted to check your criminal record, they wouldn't need to know that you were once a Jack the Ripper wannabe*?
*I am not insinuating that you are/were. EDIT: I suppose though, it seems logical, though it never is... |
Re: CRB Checks
What convictions are you hiding!?

Re: CRB Checks
The Enhanced CRB will show everything conviction and caution wise.
They wont show anything you may have gone to court for but were not convicted for though. Thats the whole idea of them. |
Re: CRB Checks
Probably would..Otherwise there would be not point in having a CRB check if certain things (i.e. criminal activity) would not show up.
Definition of Standard (taken from http://www.crb.gov.uk/Default.aspx?page=0) Standard Disclosures show current and spent convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings held on the Police National Computer. If the post involves working with children or vulnerable adults, the following may also be searched:
This is the highest level of check available...Enhanced Disclosures contain the same information as the Standard Disclosure but with the addition of any relevant and proportionate information held by the local police forces. However offenders or those with convictions are protected by a Code of Practice which basically states that: Disclosure information should only be used in the context of a policy on the recruitment of ex-offenders, designed to protect applicants from unfair discrimination on the basis of non-relevant past convictions HTH :D |
