Rider down-Treacle, hes ok

:(
Treacles had his first ever accident on a bike at 6.30am this morning, on his way to work from mine on MY sv :smt010, hit a big hole on a corner, threw him and bike up road and into a kerb and then onto verge.

Hes ok (ish) very bruised and shaken, sv isnt great but isnt bad either-needs rearset, clutch lever, indicator, r&g bung, rear panel is scuffed, tank has scrape in it and needs a mirror.

his HG kit stood up to the test and has done very well, trousers have torn but protected him and jackets armour took the brunt.

BIG thanks to Eddie from Taz m/cs who works as recovery driver for carole nash ins, top top guy, recovered matt and the bike back to mine, and hes also been out to me and my old blue curvy when that wouldnt start.

Did say i wouldve killed matt had it been my 675!!! :smt106:o:o (joking, im glad hes ok and thats the main thing, the sv can be fixed)

Ouch

glad to hear he's ok

have you contacted the highways dept at the local council? not so much to claim damages but to warn them before the next rider/driver gets taken out

go take pics of the big hole, this weekend before you complain about it, before they cover it up. Count as evidence when you sue the pants off em.
Good that hes ok!
And yes, I understand the bit about killing your other half if its your pride and joy ;-)

If you need someone to chase this for you, these guys are very good.
Theyre dealing with the copper that nearly killed me last summer.
