Minor off....

Fortunately, not severe enough to qualify for the yellow jersey, barely even marked the leathers.

I was turning right at a set of traffic lights in the wet this afternoon. The lights change to red as I'm turning.

An idiot on a scooter decides not to wait while the lights change. No, he's going cut across the pavement and use the pedestrian ramp to pull out straight in front of me. I avoided him, but locked up the back so the SV slid straight out from under me (oops).

On the plus side he dropped his scooter and trashed the faring. So he didn't just ride off into the distance. Not worth going through insurance, but he's going to be buying me a new pair of mirrors and rear brake pedal.

So, to quote Wilde, "Expect the unexpected".

Keith.

Glad you're ok Keith! Soddin' scooter riders should be sterelised to stop them diluting the gene pool.

Also I hope that you involved the police after such a stupid move by him.

I had one of these this morning all the way from Elephant and Castle to Finsbury Sq - he was a real danger - L-plate on the front, nothing on the rear........

Complete idiot in how he rode, gave no-one any room, purely selfish riding.

Glad it was'nt too bad!.

On the point of scootdrs - saw an sr$e the other morning, screamed down my inside down the buslane, i was toodling along at bout 20-25 as i KNOW there are turnings ahead, not nice seeing even a scooter being T-Boned, but self inflicted imho!
