Is the fairing that same between 650 and thou
 

Hi all,

Have searched but couldnt see the results.

Are the fairing parts between an sv650 and thou (both pointy) interchangable?

Can i take an indicator light from one to the other (i've got a 2004 sv thou) and could i fit the tail fairing sections from 650 to thou?

Looking at the old mans 1000 and me bros 650 i dont think they are although i need this confirmed. But then again im thinking they must be...

I no that front fairing is the same on the 650 and the 1000 but the side fairing lower i belive are diffrent, as i was looking at some on ebay and the person was selling his because he brought them for his 650 and they did not fit as they were sold to fit the 1000 hope that helps you

Correct, you'll have a problem fitting the lowers, as the exhaust systems are different between the 650 and thou. 650 has single, thou double. The exhaust system on the thou is also routed differently. I currently have a thou bellypan on my 650, made to fit using a dremmel.

cool - sounds ok though - i'm looking for the tail fairing pieces so they should be ok. Luckily the lower fairing around the engine etc is all ok

Also - different fixing kit for the SV1000 lowers iirc.

However the tail piece is the same :cheers:
