any one got a pair of these boots need a new pair and like the look of them

Just bought some of the Waterproof ones last week. The WP lining is quite thick and when I first put them on it felt like I had a couple of giant marshmallows on my feet.

After a couple of hundred miles they have worn in a bit and are great really comfy. Not tested in the rain yet or crashed in them but I'd reccomend.

Haven't had any exp. of the smx 5's, I've got a pair of white SMX Plus's tho, really impressed so far : ultra comfy, decent feel, good protection (especially round the heel/achilles), astars quality, and i reckon they look good with me black leathers but i guess thats debatable :) only downside is they're not waterproof, so.. I imagine the smx 5's will be fairly similar, less 'sporty' more 'practical' myb, probably not v helpfull, but astars r quality and shud have a decent warranty, easily replaceable parts etc. take it easy

have a look in the boots section in the forum theres an thread there already.

Long and short of it is good boot, good price, only downside is the toe is unprotected by a rubber bumber so the leather can wear.

I've got SMX 4's and they are fabulous, comfy and look great.
