chain links

just took out a couple of links from my chain but cant seem to the it back together, looks like the link just pushes on the pins but cant seem to get it on. is there a trick to it or a special tool i need? i used a link remover to take it off. cheers

A bit of force is required to 'press' the link onto the pins.
Usually you would use a chain tool to refasten it but some of them are only designed for splitting.

If you have a g-clamp and a mini socket you can use this to push the link on to the pins but be very carful not to over do it and end up with a tight spot in your chain.

I assume you bought a 110 link chain and found it too big for your faired bike? Assuming you do not have a split link, you will need a chain rivet tool to close the link.

Re: chain links

put 2 m6 nuts over each pin and this will help you clamp it together.

There's always that option if you dont have a mini socket set.
