Mini Peaks Run - 17/4/09

A few folks are heading over to Matlock Bath on Friday (17/4/09). ATM myself, Cartwrim +1 and Dave-numbers are going. Just thought i'd open this for the general consumption of the org. I understand many folks will have other commitments though, so...

Anyway, meet in the Pavillion Building (houses the Peak District Mining Museum) Car Park near the little yellow kiosk for 11.00.

Going to be quite a casual ride, something along the lines of this:

Anyone welcome. Aim to get back to Matlock Bath for around 3.00-3.30.

Be safe peeps. No suprises, I won't be making this one. But this time I have an exhaust, albeit a s******* one.

Blasphemy I tell you!

Cant make this, but will be in the Buxton area, albeit without the bike. Will keep an eye out for you lot, if I see you will gesticulate vigourously with two fingers as you pass :D Have a good one :smt039

YES!! You've included the Snake Pass! That's a road I've always wanted to ride - it's on a route in my 'Bike Routes Bible' which I'll bring along on the day in case it helps.

Its worth it mate, fast and flowing :D and the view from the bridge that we stopped nearby is amazing. The sound of my can and Pete & Lissa's can resonating as I was following them down it hurt my ears and when we got to the stop point I was worried my can was hanging off or gone lol.

300 miles later, it was gone and I didn't notice haha.

If you do the cat and fiddle, hopefully the weather will be good. Was my first time up there the other week, on the way up no visibility, on the way down I stalked coghead and orose, nice and fun :D
