Pointy rev-counter face melting.
Hello out there,
As the title says, anyone seen this before? Sorry for the poor picture but hopefully you can make it out. If you look at the rev counter you can see the plastic has started to melt on the clock face and the spindle which holds the needle has started to melt. Any ideas on the cause, anyone else seen it before? I assume the heat from the bulb is doing it but how do I stop it happening? http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...8/100_0417.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...8/100_0418.jpg Thanks Bunks |

Could be the sun shining through the screen. It's happened before, don't know if it was an sv though

Re: Pointy rev-counter face melting.
IIRC there was an issue with certain makes of aftermarekt double bubble screens causing the suns rays to be focused in one particular point and melting the clocks.
Have you got a double bubble fitted or are you running a standard screen ? |
