Raising Seat Height
Hello,
Ive been riding my 1st sv 650s for a few months now and ive concluded that it has been lowered in the past. does anybody know the standard rear shock length and the length of the suspension link bar (dog Bone). So i can work out what has been altered.... Many Thanks Mattnut:) |
Re: Raising Seat Height
I dont know the length, but the dog bones look exactly like that. Most after market ones dont.

Re: Raising Seat Height
standard rear shock on a curvy is 337mm centre to centre of the mounting holes, not sure about pointy version

Re: Raising Seat Height
Thanks Very Much.
Now all i need is the dog bone length! |
Re: Raising Seat Height
quick measure in the car park says 105mm between centres on the dogbones
|
Re: Raising Seat Height
Shorter Dog bones of 102mm will raise the seat by 20 mm and the tail by 40mm apparently. I just got mine through but I haven't fitted them yet. It says in the instructions that there is only a tiny difference in the measurements required.

Re: Raising Seat Height
there's loads on offer on ebay if you have a trawl through, from about £15. Or you could get a new shock with adjustable ride height . . . . .
